What about the park on Shaughnessy (just North of Lougheed, past the pool and school), Coquitlam.
Lots of work on it lately, and quieter when I've been by than Lafarge (nary a BMXer in site).
i've heard of those, but never really looked for them. are they big? beginner sized? i really like pipeline, the kids are actually real supportive. and the pump track kicks ass!

I found a dirt jump park in Port Coquitlam, between the Mary Hill Bypass and Argue Street. Take the trail in front of the tug company driveway and you've got a dozen jumps...
I grew up at skateparks. I'm used to the vibing. Unfortunately, it's part of the localism associated with centralised facilities. I've found getting there early (before 10) usually guarantees a bit of alone or almost alone time. Plus, as you get more comfy, watching talented riders do their thing is inspiring, even if they're half your age and cocky as hell.
i agree i don't like lafarge they only have the one pack and lots of bmxer's there i feel out of place when i go and buses are a pain in the arse when u have to deflate your tires.
Any looks of a dirt jump park, anytime? it sucks, there used to be this lot in coquitlam known as the KY Jumps..got wrecked a few years ago and houses built over them...KY II Jumps got smashed...there are no dirtjumps around, or bigger gaps to practice things off of... or big drops..ie 13 +

The DJ/BMX track is just to the south-west of the tennis courts. To get there, I take the 97 B-line to Pinetree Community Center.

For DJ, I just go to Lafarge. I'd have to take the bus to get there, but it's not that big of a deal since I already have a bus pass.
