i dont know anything about this, but would like to. A big piece of advice to give to the city if they build these djs and slopestyle park is to get riders to help them build it and work together. a lot of cities make that mistake when building skateparks they build what they think is good, and not from what any users would like to see. ex the port moody skatepark

yeah accually having rider input would be a great idea, like that new DJ park they built in south burnaby (taylor park) sucked balls

the taylor park is not ment for experts,its more geared for beginners and people that are just getting into riding.Burnaby had Jay hoots work with them buidling the park and I have herd he will be doing the gun club park as well.

Thats good, he helped design a large DJ park in Richmond too.

BMBA will definitely have input in this project. We have already attended on the invite from Burnaby parks department a site walk thru and shown the preliminary design. Following the open house set for this week and bearing any major opposition the city will begin final design phase followed by construction. Initially the city had thought construction possibly to begin early 2008 most likely it will not be that soon but the open house will have all information and the opportunity for input.

Not a bad turnout. Parks department seem to put a lot of time into presentation. Some key points I picked up:

- Possible construction to begin this year.
- Cross country trail possibly happening first.
- Project is now going out for tender (design stage).
- Possibly could see re working of Gear Jammer project as well this year.
