There is a down-sloping ladder bridge towards the end of the trail, after the rock garden-ish parts, that need some serious drainage improvement.
A huge puddle has developed at the base of the ladder, and riding into it is like going head-first into a boulder. It wasn't so bad before, but at this pace, it'll soon be hazardous.

I cannot get over the amount of traffic on Nicholes lately no wonder it needs work. I may be out of line but I think Nicholes now is in terrible shape would anyone consider a temporary closure after a heavy rainfall just to protect the trail.

I think Yang is talking about the section where there is a dogleg ladder. It is really sludgy then it is followed by a quick turn so that when you drop off the end, you land into a mud pit and have to brake and turn, which is not easy when you're in slushy mud.
