Do you intend to make some of the illegal trails rideable, safe and ecologically viable? 'cuz L.O.L.A.H. (as the sign calls it) is a good line through the Burnwood area that needs a few simple structures to make it rideable again. That side of the mountain seems to have poor drainage, meaning lots of structures! the fun potential is awe-inspiring, though. Are you planning any trail maintenance days? too many questions!

eep the rubber side down.

We are currently putting together a proposal for the city on the three areas identified on our website. We are looking for any comments you may have. As for the Burnwood site the area being proposed is east of Burnwood. The area west of Burnwood to Centennial drive (Burnaby Mountain Park) and South of the existing Trans Canada trail is off limits at this point to biking.

As mentioned above the firts step is getting back to the city on what the mountain bikers would like to see done of the three proposals. The rest of the details such as design and who does work will follow. From talking to the key members of the BMBA it sounds they have come along way with the city.

Sorry guys, but so much is still up in the air right now and most of our efforts have been put towards getting our application for society status in, building the webpage, and waving the flag at hats off day, the sapperton bike fest, etc.

Next steps are to consult with the bike community about what people want to see, put together a proposal for Burnaby to consider, we'll have to go on a membership drive before the AGM, we're going to have to hold an AGM and elecect some directors (currently a bunch of us are just in acting positions until we get things up and running); we're going to be looking for sponsors; doing some fund raising; and yes we hope to have a trail day at some point. Unfortunately this stuff doesn't happen overnight and we're all just volunteers.

Keep checking back - slowly but surely we're going to get more information up on the website and you'll have an opportunity to provide us with your input, join the association, etc.
