Advocacy Area BBY Mtn; Eagle;Burke; Belcarra ?

Hi BMBA 'executive'
I'm wondering what areas you are planning on focussing on. I know from the name ... that Bby mtn is of course the #1 area for your efforts.
Did you have any plans on being advocates for other regions in this area like Burke, Belcarra, Eagle, etc.
The thing that prompted me to write was the item in 'The NOW' Sat July 30th
"City looking at ban on mountain biking in sensitive areas" This is in reference to the Noon's creek area.
I know that the NSMBA is dedicated to the North Shore, But I have seen them branching out to other areas for the sake of Mountain Biking as a whole. Is this something the BMBA is looking at doing with the areas locally?

You might want to check out the forums on thefatboys.ca. They are a group of riders in the tri-cities who, while not well known like NSMBA, are active in building/maintaining trails in the area. You'll even see a recent post on the Noons Creek issue under the "Everything Else" forum.

I'll check that out. I know the BMBA was not around for the longest time. I am interested in helping out and making sure we have access to trails.

We were discussing this issue at the last meeting. For now our focus is only Burnaby Mtn. This may change over time but initially at least we feel that we need to keep it small and manageable.
