Which is, I guess, why there is going to be a meeting. I think people might feel a bit more empowered if they were more directly involved. Maybe there are contributions that members could make that would help them to feel invested in the project and speed up the process a bit. Coming to the meeting and being active would be a good start for anyone interested. I plan on being there.
I also think that an email list would be a good thing to set up so that members could be informed if unable to attend. I will offer to take minutes at the meeting and type them up if maybe Yangman could set up a list. Even a list of members' email addys would do. If we want this thing to be a community project, we need a line of communication that isn't dependent on people waiting to hear from the directors. And think about how much more efficient a community will be at getting things done.
I urge each of you to find a place to participate - don't wait for someone to tell you what to do. If we all wait for the directors to do all the work, then nothing will ever get done. YOU are the BMBA.
Don't mean to be a nag, but when's the agm? It'd be good to get that going soon, no? If you are aiming for the middle of January, now's the time to plan and book a place, being that it's the 5th already.
