With the recent windstorm there are likely going to be trees down on sections of trails throughout the mountain.
The BMBA would like to ask all the riders to carry their bikes over the obstacles, rather than cut new lines around the fallen trees or do impromptu log cutting to fix the problems.
Burnaby Parks will be heading up as soon as they can to fix any of these issues. If you come across any specific problem locations on the mountain trails, please leave a comment at the bottom of this post.
Hey everyone, we've got a great schedule of trail days coming up for this year and the first one is for June 5th when we give Gear Jammer a little TLC.
We'll be repairing the entrance to a some ladder bridges and we'll also add couple new ones at grade level. There's some erosion and drainage issues we'll be tackling as well, all in all around 10 locations on that trail will get some attention.
I know with the warm winter and early spring lots of people have been waiting to catch some air at one of the best municipal bike parks in the province.
Well, the wait is almost over, the skills park is tentatively scheduled to open on April 15th, once Burnaby Parks has repaired some of the drainage issues that caused some problems.
