Barnet Beach trail

Anyone know if Burnaby finished the connector, so that you can ride along the beach instead of on the Hwy (up past the cement plant)... toward Pandora to do a full loop of the mtn?

I used to ride the beach trail, then the train tracks to a trail that goes up a hike-a-bike right at the cement plant. I heard something about a possible overpass to go in right there.
Now the Mountain Air trail is a great addition for a round the mountain loop. Too bad the velodrome trail is unridable up because there's still the Westridge to Pandora's road ride.
