Attention Riders!

Burnaby Parks has asked that mountain bikers help keep an eye out for some illegal tree cutting activity on Burnaby Mountain.  A poacher has been cutting down Maple trees on the North Side of Burnaby Mountain. 

Up to 50 trees were recently slashed as someone is looking for a specific grain of maple wood.  (Click on this story to see pics of  the damage!)

If you notice any suspicious behaviour or hear a chainsaw (especially during evenings or weekends) poachers may be at work.  Please call 604-294-7000 24 hours a day and report what you hear/see.
