Cheakamus Challenge Challenge 2009

Calling all riders of the BMBA. We will be there again in 2009 to Feel the Pain and get some monkeys off my back. This race is a classic and some old guys would love to invite riders of the BMBA to challenge themselves next year. There is also a shorter new course called the CC Pique Lite race from the bungy zone to Dustys(if you want to call 42 km of uphill riding a lite race). This race is not for everyone but is a great goal for those who want to test their will and endurance. Check out the CC website. We had a great Whistler weekend and I will fill you in on next post

wildlife

I was riding gear jammer and then on to Jims Jungle when we (my dogs and I) came upon a rather large black bear.  It took off down toward the stream.  Just a note to let people it is out there.

Trail Maintenance Report Program

In order to stay on top of and address trail maintenance and related issues the BMBA has set up a program with the City of Burnaby to report  and have them repair such items.

Downed tress, structures needing repairs, water/drainage issues and any others related items can be reported to info@bmba.ca

By reporting and taking quick action we minimize and reduce any long term or permanent damage.

Thanks and enjoy the trails.
