Barnet Beach trail
Submitted by Sk8r on Tue, 03/23/2010 - 15:30Anyone know if Burnaby finished the connector, so that you can ride along the beach instead of on the Hwy (up past the cement plant)... toward Pandora to do a full loop of the mtn?
Drummond's walk it was called.

Bike Park 2010 opening?
Submitted by M.A.X on Tue, 03/23/2010 - 02:44Hey guys
Any idea when the city plans to officially open the bike park for the season?
I'm trying to organize an SFU Outdoors Club beginner ride and was hoping to finish the ride at the bike park so people can session stuff and work on skills.
Thanks!

Alternate Trail site
Submitted by Evan on Sun, 11/29/2009 - 23:58I have no idea if Burnaby has intentions of creating new trails, but seen as no one has proposed any ideas I figured i'd be the first!
I think a good site for a new trail could pass through the start and upper parts of what was "911" for anyone who remembers that trail!
The trail would approximately start near the top of gear jammer, decending parralel to the old gear jammer and upper snake, then connect to the very bottom section of gear jammer.

Mountain Air Bike Skills Park is set to open on April 15.
Submitted by bmba on Thu, 11/12/2009 - 15:30I know with the warm winter and early spring lots of people have been waiting to catch some air at one of the best municipal bike parks in the province.
Well, the wait is almost over, the skills park is tentatively scheduled to open on April 15th, once Burnaby Parks has repaired some of the drainage issues that caused some problems.
